P.K.14，全稱(chēng)為the Public Kingdom for Teens/青春公共王國(guó)。 音樂(lè)風(fēng)格受新浪潮 / 后朋克的影響。 P.K.14樂(lè)隊(duì)成立于1997年的年末，樂(lè)隊(duì)的四位成員都有著南京地下朋克音樂(lè)圈的背景，并以此為基礎(chǔ)發(fā)展他們自己的音樂(lè)風(fēng)格。1997年到1999年，P.K.14 樂(lè)隊(duì)已經(jīng)成為當(dāng)時(shí)南京最重要的樂(lè)隊(duì)之一，他們和當(dāng)時(shí)的其他南京樂(lè)隊(duì)一起，將"超現(xiàn)實(shí)主義之城"的稱(chēng)呼帶給了南京。
P.K.14在中國(guó)搖滾樂(lè)中所占據(jù)的位置也許和Talking Heads樂(lè)隊(duì)或者Television樂(lè)隊(duì)在70年代的紐約浪潮中的地位類(lèi)似。P.K.14是屬于最具有思考深度和本質(zhì)性的樂(lè)隊(duì)中的一支，對(duì)音樂(lè)懷有巨大的進(jìn)取心，而對(duì)時(shí)尚毫不關(guān)心。P.K.14已經(jīng)在中國(guó)以及海外進(jìn)行過(guò)大量的演出，他們也曾經(jīng)和許多著名的樂(lè)隊(duì)分享過(guò)同一個(gè)舞臺(tái)，包括The (International) Noise Conspiracy, These Are Powers, Ex-Models, 以及The Soundtrack of Our Lives等等。他們出現(xiàn)在眾多的文章，采訪以及評(píng)論中，他們的名字出現(xiàn)在中國(guó)，美國(guó)，德國(guó)，奧地利，法國(guó)，瑞典，挪威和澳大利亞的電視上，以及全世界大量的報(bào)紙和雜志里。


P.K.14 occupies a space in Chinese music that might be analogous to that of Talking Heads or Television in the New York of the 1970s. They are among the most thoughtful and self-referential of bands, with an enormous curiosity about music coupled with a complete inability to care about musical fashion. Among the astonishing group of young musicians that has emerged in Beijing over the last four years, they are almost unanimously cited as the band that has most influenced the young Beijing music scene. Although they are at the heart of the Beijing scene, at the same time they are wholly unique and seem to be traveling in their own space – one which consists of only one band.
Founded in Nanjing in 1997, P.K.14 made their debut in December of that year. In May 1999, the band opened for Sweden’s The (International) Noise Conspiracy in Shanghai, and since become one of China’s most admired and influential bands. In 2001 with the release of their debut album, Shang Lou Jiu Wang Zuo Guai (Upstairs, Turn Left), on Sub Jam records, they quickly established themselves as one of the major bands in the Chinese indie scene.


P.K.14 樂(lè)隊(duì)計(jì)劃在今年進(jìn)行新唱片的錄制，錄音之前，樂(lè)隊(duì)將于六月進(jìn)行一場(chǎng)14站的國(guó)內(nèi)巡演。約一半的巡演曲目來(lái)自下張專(zhuān)輯里的新歌曲，另一半則來(lái)自《城市天氣的航行》與《1984》。此次巡演，還會(huì)有一位客座樂(lè)手隨行，至于他是誰(shuí)？先賣(mài)個(gè)關(guān)子，現(xiàn)場(chǎng)揭曉。
